Fork-tailed swifts

Outside the area, I know, but dozens of fork-tailed swifts were swooping/sweeping over Pittsworth on Thursday March 26, in the aftermath of a storm.

65mm rain here in town in the past week, up to 80 or 90mm in patches, mainly south east of Pittsworth; only 8 to 9mm in patches north and west of the town

I was surprised to hear and see a male satin flycatcher high up in the neighbour's jacaranda and gums trees this morning. Can't recall seeing one in town before. I guess he's passing through.
